Phase One: Sue's been leaving Illinois For Years
Depending on the decade, Sue often threatened to move from location to location. Click on the picture below to see where she wanted to move throughout the 1980's.
I mention Sue specifically since Todd did not have much to say about the move.
I think he felt it was one of the many phases Sue was going through.
Todd was right and Sue got past her Florida phase and Sue & Todd remained in Illinois. For the next several years, Sue & Todd lived a comfortable existence near all of their relatives.
However, during the mid 1990's, Sue again experienced another one of her "escapism" phase. This one was brought about from their trip to Santa Fe, New Mexico.
For what seemed like an eternity, all we heard Sue saying:
"Todd and I are going to move to New Mexico."
(Un)fortunately she did not leave.
