Halloween, 2001

Once again, as sure as the air becomes cold, Halloween arrives.

Actually, it seems like every Halloween it ends up being 80 degree outside.  Thus, the kids literally begin to sweat profusely as they walk around lugging their pails full of candy.

This year, we had a Blue Power Ranger, a lady bug (from Bugs Life), and Scooby Doo.     Our family is a marketers dream since companies like Warner Brothers make millions off the licensing rights for these costumes.

Trevor, the Blue Power Ranger.

When Trevor tried this outfit on, he ran all over the house with doing karate kicks.

Jasmine, the lady bug.

She slept through most of Halloween and only visited (3) houses.  Unfortunately, the cost per house (as it relates to the costume expense)  was excessively high.   Next year, we will have to see the better part of 300 homes to lower the overall average.

Parker, Scooby Doo.

Look at the size of the head on that kid !

Scooby Doo and the Blue Power Ranger

Parker watches hours and hours of Scooby Doo on Cartoon Network.

Many of you that are my age (34) probably watched Scooby Doo as a kid in front of a gigantic Magnavox or Zenith television.   You know, the type that looked like they could support your house while displaying a color picture at the same time.

Here is what one looked like.

I think my brother, Jon, still has one of these in his living room.
