Fishing:

Early one morning, I rented a boat for three hours and went fishing in the Pacific Ocean.

Just as we were leaving for the morning it was a calm morning with perfect weather.

Captain, Jose, and his first mate, Alex.

They did a great job, spoke reasonable English, and I think had almost as much fun as we had.  He also had a marine radio so I felt we were somewhat safe.  The boat was also in excellent condition.

My two favorite fishermen.

Trevor, the eel catcher.

This was the first fish we caught and we thought it was absolutely hysterical - especially when Jose had to smash the eel against the side of the boat in order to stun it and safely remove the hook.

We caught about 15 different fish in the morning - most of them in the last hour.

The best moment of the day was when we caught this  "puffer fish"

We caught this one and when it landed on the deck of the boat, you heard this sucking sound as it expanded and puffed up.  It was really cool to watch.
